This is Scruffy who is one special and very loved little girl. She is
a silky terrier. She is somewhere between 8 and 10 years old and
weighs 17.6 pounds. She suddenly lost her owner due to a heart attack.
Friends of the owner called me and asked if I would take Scruffy in.
At first I told them I would but then saw the massive tumor on her
side and told them we couldn't take her because her surgery would just
be too expensive for our group to handle. Those wonderful friends just
wouldn't give up. They gave us a donation just to take her. I told
them I felt the kindest thing I could do for her would be to put her
down. They told me they understood and would appreciate it if I would
do it. I took this blessed dog and made the appointment to put her
down. Luckily on the day I had her scheduled to be put down those
wonderful friends intervened again and offered to pay for her
surgeries if it wasn't over $500.00. As you can see in the second
picture we had the surgery done.
Scruffy is doing very well and has decided that I am her owner. At
first she was very scared and didn't know what to do or who to trust.
She has become one of the most loving companions anyone could ask for.
She lets me know when she wants to go outside. Please, find it in your
heart to give this wonderful dog a home. She was so worth saving. I
would personally like to thank John and Jason for being such good
friends, for caring enough about their friend to save his wonderful
little companion, and for not giving up on her. You guys rock!

Scruffy's adoption fee is $100. All our furbabies are fully vetted including, but not limited to, spay/neutering and vaccinations, before they are adopted. These fees help to cover our costs.
