Heartworm Prevention -- Monday May 25th, 2009
Since the beginning of 2009, we have successfully treated 5 dogs. 2 more dogs are currently undergoing treatment.
Mosquitos are carriers for heartworms & if an unprotected dog/cat is bitten, it is likely to be infected.
However, they may not test positive for up to 6 months.
It is also important to have yearly tests done to assure that your pet is still heartworm negative.
Please help us spread the word & help prevent heartworm in our friendly companions.
